    This grant is designed to transform existing environments into human-centered hubs of innovation. We are specifically seeking proposals that close digital skills gaps and provide industry-grade technology and programming to students, educators, and the workforce.

    To support a target deployment date of September, this grant opportunity is primarily open to community organizations operating within our priority target markets — Wake County (NC), Huntsville (AL), Mobile (AL), Hartsville (SC), Yazoo (MS), and Jackson (MS), alongside expansion markets including Memphis (TN), Valdosta (GA), Early County (GA), Brooklyn (NY), Puerto Rico, Little Rock (AR), and Detroit (MI) — though compelling applicants from all communities are strongly encouraged to apply.

  • Eligibility Criteria & Target Scope 

    Eligible Applications

    To apply for the Ed Farm Space Community Grant, primary applicants must represent key local community or educational leadership. Eligible applicant entities include:

    • K-12 Educational Leaders: Superintendents, school district leaders, and public K-12 school administrators.
    • Local Government Officials: Mayors, city council representatives, and state legislators.
    • Community Organization & Anchor Leaders: Directors and leaders of 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations, public libraries, or community centers.

     

    Target Geographic Scope
    To support a target deployment date of September, this grant opportunity is primarily open to community organizations operating within our priority target states — North Carolina, Alabama, South Carolina, and Mississippi—alongside expansion states and territories including Tennessee, Georgia, New York, Puerto Rico, Arkansas, and Michigan—though compelling applicants from all regions are strongly encouraged to apply.

     

    Population & Community Served
    Applicants must demonstrate that the proposed innovation space will serve overlooked communities and populations, specifically focusing on:

    • K-12 students and classroom educators needing digital skills and upskilling
    • Adult learners and the local workforce seeking technical development
    • Populations located in historically underserved urban or rural areas

     

    Facility & Site Requirements

    Applicants must identify a physical environment within a school, library, or community center that can be transformed. The proposed space must:

    • Be approximately the size of an average classroom to accommodate physical redesign, furniture, and industry-grade tech
    • Be capable of integrating high-speed internet connectivity for learners of all ages
    • Have a square footage of ~ 600 - 1,000 square feet

    • In order to better understand your facility and its readiness to receive the Apple Technology, Design Assistance, and Technical Support provided by this grant, please confirm the following:

    • Physical Area: A dedicated room within a school, library, or community center measuring approximately 600–1,000 sq. ft.*
    • Connectivity: Does the entire building currently have high-speed internet?*
    • Power & Electrical: This room has ample power capabilities, or we are able to install additional electrical outlets as needed.*
    • Device Management: Do you have a Mobile Device Management solution in place (e.g., Jamf, Mosyle)?*
    • Space Availability: Can you guarantee the proposed space will be vacant and available for construction between October 2026 and April 2027?*
    • Apple Ecosystem Readiness: Does your school or organization allow Apple devices to be part of its technology ecosystem?*

      Program Description: The Teacher Fellows Program is a program that equips educators with tools, skills and strategies centered on bringing future-focused learning to all students through innovative professional learning and coaching cycles.

    • Commitment: Can your school commit to releasing selected teachers to participate in this virtual/hybrid professional learning program from January through June?*

      Program Description: The program engages students in active learning through a challenge-based framework with projects designed to inspire students to develop innovative ideas into real community solutions. This program is ideal for students grades 5-8 and aligned to digital skills & cs standards, national CSTA standards and ISTE standards.
